Gyeongnam currently sit on 5th in the table on the very edge of playoffs, but their poor form at home is a concern despite winning their last match 4-2 against Ansan Greeners

With the 2-0 home win against Gimpo, Gimcheon Sangmu are on a 5-match winning run in the league. The team has won 5 of their last 8 matches in [South Korea - K League 2]. Gimcheon Sangmu have scored an average of 2.03 goals per game since the beginning of the season in the league. As for Gimcheon Sangmu's current form indicate an average number of goals scored per game of 2.38 in the last 8 league matches, which is 17.2% higher than their current season's average.

Gimcheon Sangmu face some quite double sided teams in the next final two matches with both showing poor form at home and away respectively.

Despite the poor home, and away form the two teams will be no push over for Gimcheon who are on a title race.

Gimcheon are in a impressive 13 consecutive win run at home and 5 in all but they have conceded in 6 consecutive away games giving Gyeongnam some hope. They also show an impressive striking force with scoring more than 2 goals in 5 consecutive matches.

Gimcheon Sangmu are currently in for the title right behind current leaders Busan IPark, where also 1st place is the only straight promotion spot. Worthy of their title of Title Contenders, they boast great form in all catagories with a very impressive goal stat of 69 goals in 34 matches.

A real loss to Gimcheon Sangmu’s Arsenal is Cho Young-Wook.

Gimcheon Sangmu is a special team in the K-league where South Korean Players can play for them as a substitute service of their military services.

To apply they must be U27 and must have played in the K-League for at least 6 months.

Only 10 players are chosen every year, so It’s very competitive to get in.

So with Young-Wook Cho winning a gold medal in the last Asian Games, he was exempt from his military services thus returning him to his original team FC Seoul.

He was the top scorer and assister with 13 goals and 6 assists.

But without him Gimcheon Sangmu has been on quite a roll largely thanks to

Quality K-League 1 players Hyun-Muk Kang (Suwon) with 6 goals and 5 assists and Jin-Gyu Kim (Jeonbuk) with 6 goals and 5 assists

And with Young-Wook Cho out of the golden boot race, Gleyson must be looking for some extra goals to keep him in the lead.

Gyeongnam must also watch out for Chi-In Jung(Daegu), despite having only played around 700 minutes all season, He shows a good shot and goal per 90 ratio playing a Joker role

He is also proven to be able to take a player on too

Gimcheon Sangmu have got real Engines in the midfield too, with quality K-League 1 players Doo-Jae Won (Ulsan), Dong-Hyun Kim (Gangwon), Sang-Min Lee (Seoul) dominating the passing stats in the leage. But Gyeongnam have their captain Hong-Min Song and Kang-Hee Lee in good form with Kang-Hee Lee being called up for the South Korean Paris Olympic squad.

This match will be crucial for both sides with Gyeongnam desperate to pick up at least 1 point from this match to reach the playoffs, but on hot form Gimcheon Sangmu will be looking for all 3 points in their title race
