Team News

Gyeongnam still missing their 2 digit scorer Won Ki-Jong due to an ankle injury in october have been on quite decent form with their defenders appearing frequently on the score sheet. He is not expected to return this weekend and to be out until mid-play offs. Players like the likes of Mo Jae-Hyeon, Cho Hyang-ki are expected much more game time until then.

Lee Gang-Hee who’s been keeping the backline quite sturdy as a center back for Gyeongnam was called up for the South Korean U22 Paris Olympic squad and played in the match against France on 11/20. Being a crucial part of the Gyeongnam squad this season, it is going to be interesting to see who'll replace him. Who ever that be he is likely to partner Lee Chan-Ouk.

Players to watch for

Pablo Gonzalez will be the player to watch out for in Gimpo

with 7 G/A in 19 matches this season, the Uruguyan has helped his team secure their first ever playoffs. The player joined the team from Liverpool FC(Currently sitting on top of the Uruguyan League) is looking for promotion to K-league 1 with Gimpo

Not really a towering figure in the field, standing at 166cms he is known better for his nifty foot work and creativity that he provides on the field.

Gyeongnam’s Two fullbacks have been just fire. Park Min-Seo(#21) and Lee Jun-Jae have been running back and forth on their own sides of the flanks scoring crucial goals to keep Gyeongnam’s promotions dreams alive.

Park Min-Seo picked up an ankle injury last match and was subbed off. He seemed to be limping with an ice pack taped to his ankle but is predicted to come back this weekend after some rest during the international fixture.

Last match suprised everyone with Seol Ki-Hyeon, Gyeongnam’s Manager, starting Lee Jun-Jae up top partnering Park Min-Seo(#77) but returned to his original position after Gyeongnam subbing on striker Cho Hyang-Ki on for Woo Ju-Seong. With Woo-Ju Seong having returned last match from injury, It'll be a challange for the manager on how to give the two ,both quality, right backs the playing time they need and get the results the team desperatly need
